Facial Sculpting Warm Serum

$30.00

A warm, silky oil for your evening face and neck massage. Facial Sculpting Warm Serum is a solid balm in a glass jar with a wick. Light it for about a minute and the top layer melts into a warm oil of organic cocoa butter, shea butter, MCT oil, jojoba, squalane and beeswax, made for a slow sculpting massage of the face, jawline and neck with your fingertips or a gua sha stone. Fresh bergamot, lavandin and warm cedarwood fill the room while you take 10–15 minutes to end the day.

How to melt it

  1. Light the wick and let it burn for about 1 minute, until a thin layer of oil has melted.
  2. Blow out the flame and wait 1–2 minutes for the oil to cool to a comfortable warmth.
  3. Test a drop on your inner wrist. It should feel pleasantly warm, never hot.
  4. Dip your fingertips in and take a small amount. A few drops are enough for the face and neck.

No flame? Warm a little of the balm between your fingertips until it melts. It works the same way.

How to do the sculpting massage
Use light, slow strokes, 5–6 times on each area, on both sides of the face.

  1. Neck: smooth the oil over the neck, then stroke gently down from just under the ear to the collarbone.
  2. Jawline: from the center of the chin, glide along the jaw out to the ear.
  3. Cheeks: from the side of the nose, sweep out across the cheekbone toward the temple.
  4. Forehead: from between the brows, glide up and out to the temples and finish with small circles there.

With a gua sha: hold the stone almost flat against the skin and follow the same lines with light pressure. Keep the skin slippery with oil so the stone glides and never drags. Finish by leaving a thin layer on overnight or pressing off the excess with a soft cloth.

How do I use it on my face?

Light the wick for about 1 minute, blow it out and wait 1–2 minutes until the oil is comfortably warm. Test a drop on your inner wrist, then take a few drops on your fingertips and massage the neck, jawline, cheeks and forehead with slow, light strokes. No flame? Simply warm a little balm between your fingertips until it melts.

Can I use it with a gua sha?

Yes. Apply a few drops so the skin is slippery, hold the stone almost flat against the skin and glide it gently along the jaw, cheeks and neck. Add a little more oil if the stone starts to drag. Wash and dry your gua sha after each use.

Is the warm oil safe on my face?

Always blow out the flame first and test a drop on your inner wrist — it should feel comfortably warm, never hot. Keep it away from the eyes and lips. Never pour or apply while the wick is lit, never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from children and pets.

Is it okay for oily or sensitive skin?

It is a rich balm made with cocoa and shea butter, so it suits dry and normal skin best. If your skin is oily or prone to breakouts, use just a drop or two, focus on the neck and jawline, and press off the excess with a soft cloth afterwards. For sensitive skin, patch test on your inner arm first and wait 24 hours. Do not use on broken or irritated skin, and if you are pregnant, nursing or have a skin condition, check with your doctor first.

Can I use it in the morning?

We recommend it as an evening ritual. The blend contains bergamot and lime essential oils, which can make skin more sensitive to the sun, so avoid using it on your face before sun exposure.

How should I store it?

Keep the lid closed and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sun and heat. Because it is made of natural butters and beeswax, the texture can soften in warm weather and firm up when cool — this is normal and does not affect quality.
